Hannibal Early Birds Kiwanis Club announce their support of the Hannibal High School Finance Challenge Team by issuing a $500 check to support this group in future competitions at their Club meeting Thursday, Jan. 23. Pictured from left: Students Carson Turner, Anna Richardson, Gillian Hark, and Liz Stilley. Also present for the presentation was Kurt Haner, department chair for the business department and business instructor for Hannibal High School, and Joy McPike, Club President. The students gave the club a sample of a financial presentation that they have to deliver during competition at the state and national level. The funds provided will be used to help make field trips to the regional FDIC offices in Chicago or the Edward Jones Financial offices in St. Louis in the near future. Competition is intense and Hannibal High's financial teams have won the state competition for the last six years, earning them the right to compete on the national level in Omaha, Neb.
