HMS November Students of the Month announced

HANNIBAL | Staff and faculty members at Hannibal Middle School selected six students for November Student of the Month honors. 

Overall Students of the Month were Kasey DeStefane, Kennedi Gibbons and Koen Ramage. Characters of the Month were selected for displaying compassion: Kaylee Culp, Lincoln Chaplin and Ethan Romig.

Sixth grade

Kasey Paige DeStefane is the daughter of Mary and Heath Otte and Rick DeStefane. She is a member of Drama Club, Peer Mentoring, Student Lighthouse Club, The Crossing Church and the Hannibal Orchestra. Kasey enjoys playing the violin and the piano and reading.

Ethan Romig is the son of Kimberly Douglas and Benjamin Romig. He is a member of Ethan's Random Acts of Kindness. Ethan competes in Gracie Barra Jiu-Jitsu. He has received the Hannibal Mayor Commendation, Outstanding Bus Rider award and Third Place in Jiu-Jitsu competition. Ethan enjoys volunteering at Cuddle Cat Rescue and the Northeast Missouri Humane Society, attending Cardinals baseball games, riding bikes, playing with cat and dog and performing his random acts of kindness.

Seventh grade

Kennedi Ann Gibbons is the daughter of Dallas and Ashley Gibbons. Her nickname is Sis. Kennedi is a member of the Leaders of the Crew at HMS. She competes in NEMO Hotshots and HMS softball teams. Kennedi has received Student of the Month honors. She enjoys reading, hunting, make-up and swimming.

Lincoln Chaplin is the son of Sheena Smith and Brian Chaplin. He competes in football and wrestling at HMS and boxing in Quincy. He received the Character of the Month award. Lincoln enjoys working out and hanging out with friends and family.

Eighth grade

Kaylee Marie Culp is the daughter of Carol Culp and the late Ralph V. Culp. She is a member of the HMS Choir. Kaylee received the Character of the Month awards. She enjoys reading, writing poems, helping others, working in the yard and music.

Koen Parker Ramage's uncle is Reid Atkins and his aunt is Robyn Atkins. His nickname is Koko. Koen is a member of Leaders of the Crew at HMS. He competes in football, wrestling, baseball and track. Koen enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler and hanging out with friends.
