HANNIBAL | Three galleries in Downtown Hannibal will partner for Second Saturday Open House from 1-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.

Participating galleries include Alliance Art Gallery, Gallery 310 and the Hannibal Arts Council. The event is designed to encourage the public to enjoy Downtown Hannibal, visit the participating galleries, view works by featured artists and see the latest works for sale by all the artists involved in the galleries/exhibits.

The Second Saturday Open House concept temporarily replaces Second Saturday Gallery Night, which is typically held during a later and shorter timeframe. However, main aspects of the monthly event remain the same — featured artists, drawings and coming together to support the arts and artists of Hannibal. The Alliance Art Gallery, 112 N. Main St, will feature a member artist, Steve Ryan for August, and offer a drawing for a pottery piece by Ryan at 5:30 p.m. Gallery 310, 310 N. Main St., will also feature a member artist, David Maas for August, and offer a drawing for a painting by Maas at 6 p.m. The Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main St., will feature their current exhibits that ends Saturday, Aug. 8, featuring area artists and exhibiting artists Meike Aton, Peggy Burchard-Ballard, Kent Brown, Ezra Collins and Dani Hudson.

Answers to further questions on the Second Saturday Open House are available by contacting the Hannibal Arts Council at findit@hannibalarts.com, 573-221-6545 or visiting them on the web at https://hannibalarts.com. Information will also be available on the Facebook pages of each of the galleries.
