Donna Colbert will serve as the part-time treasurer in Bowling Green.
Colbert was appointed by aldermen and will be paid $20 per hour. She replaces full-time treasurer Barbie Finley, who was fired for unspecified reasons last November.
The move from a full-time to a part-time position is expected to save the city about $21,000 a year.
Millie Powell, the city clerk/treasurer in New London, had filled in during the interim.
