The Hannibal Police Department reported Friday, Nov. 20, that a suspicious male asked a 5-year-old if the child wanted a ride home from school Friday afternoon.
At 4:21 p.m. Friday officers were told the child was walking home after school on Fulton Avenue, when a male approached in a car and offered the child a ride. The child ran away and later told a parent.
There are no other known witnesses to the incident or similar reports in the area. The suspicious person was described as a white male in a small blue car. Anyone with any information connected to this incident are encouraged to contact the Hannibal Police Department.
The police reported Friday that criminal intent had not been determined. However, the information was being released, so the public could be aware of the reported incident.
