Chanda Viorel and Michael Musgraves were united in marriage on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Church, Dardenne Prairie, Mo. Chanda is the daughter of Gayle Viorel and the late Tony Viorel. Michael is the son of John and Judy Musgraves of Festus, Mo. Chanda is the granddaughter of Jean Lewis Link, Chester, Il and formerly of Hannibal.
Father Steve Giljum performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her brothers A.J. and Ben Viorel. Katie Viorel, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alexis Bramblett, Heather Durbin and Laura Steinman. Best man was Doug Leroy. Groomsmen were Michael Wilson, Mark Velcheck and Tim Bruns. Ushers were cousins of the bride, Clayton and Tyler Link.
Scripture readings by Roberta Leroy, friend of the groom, Rhiannon Terrill, friend of the bride, and Patty Cull, aunt and godmother of the bride. Music provided by pianist Greg Bueltmann, violinist Carlye Kleczkowski, and vocalist Janice Schnurbusch, members of ICD parish. Music selections included an Irish Gospel by Smith, “How Beautiful” by Twila Paris, and “Ave Maria” by Schubert.
Chanda was escorted to the music of “Anna’s Theme”. Her couture bridal gown was a redesigned Maggie Sottero made of ivory Empress taffeta accented with ruching throughout the bodice and embellished with satin roses gathering at the train. She carried a bouquet of ivory Sweetheart Roses, Ranunculus, Lisianthus and Queen Anne’s lace. Maid of honor wore a Bari Jay gown, shadow in color, with a spaghetti strap shirred v-neck bodice and ivory sash at the waist. Bridesmaids wore Bari Jay cocktail dresses, shadow in color of ruched chiffon with contrasting portrait collar. Their flowers were purple, lavender and white Lilacs.
A bridal shower was hosted in Hannibal at the Quality Inn by Heather Durbin and Donna Woods. A couples shower in St. Louis was hosted by aunts and uncles, Scott and Shalene Link, Marsha and Dale Link, and Chuck and Carol Link. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by John and Judy Musgraves at Rizzo’s, O’Fallon, Mo. A reception was held that evening at the Quality Inn, Hannibal.
Following a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple resides in O’Fallon, Mo.
