Katherine Marie Valuck and Michael John Fuller were united in marriage on June 18, 2011, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Hannibal, Mo. Kate is the daughter of Drs. Richard and Jenny Valuck of Hannibal. Mike is the son of John and Melinda Fuller of Maryland Heights, Mo.
Grace Strube, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and Katie Pickett, friend of the bride was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Cathy Fuller, sister-in-law of the groom, and Allison Oyler, Emily Marx, Alison Burch, Rachel Sneed and Ashley Smith, friends of the bride. Best man was Kyle Dreessen, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Matt Fuller and John Fuller, brothers of the groom, Levi Strube, brother-in-law of the bride, and Matt McGrory, Stephen Dawson, David Groth and Veeder Ransom, friends of the groom. Flower girls were Willa Waelder, friend of the bride, and Hannah Richardson, cousin of the groom.
Pastor Mark Albee was the officiant of the ceremony. Chris Oyler, friend of the groom, served as head usher. The guest book was attended by Vanessa Dreessen, friend of the bride. Program attendants were Meghan Pieper and Stacie Robertson, friends of the bride. Lauren Youse, friend of the bride, served as wedding day coordinator. Vocalists were David Groth, Allison Oyler and Jim Pitney, uncle of the bride. Trumpeter was Rachel Sneed and accompanist was Jill Page, friend of the bride.
Grandparents of the bride are Ben and Martha Pitney of Hannibal, and Richard and Mary Jane Valuck of Kirksville, Mo. Grandparents of the groom are Spencer and Mary Honsey of Middletown, Iowa, and Richard and Linda Fuller of Burlington, Iowa.
Bridal showers were hosted by Susan Humphreys and Linda Youse, friends of the bride, and the ladies of Immanuel Baptist Church. A bridemaids’ outing to St. Louis was hosted by Katie Pickett and Grace Strube. A bridal luncheon was held at the Abbey Rose Tea Room, hosted by Louise Valuck, aunt of the bride. The rehearsal dinner was held at Fiddlestiks, hosted by John and Melinda Fuller. A dinner reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Quality Inn.
Kate is a 2005 graduate of Hannibal High School, and a 2010 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a BS degree in vocal music education. She is employed by Hannibal Public Schools and teaches vocal music at Hannibal High School and Hannibal Middle School. Mike is a 2006 graduate of Pattonville High School, and a 2011 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a BS degree in instrumental music education. He is employed by Hannibal Public Schools and teaches music at Veterans Elementary School. Following their honeymoon to El Dorado Resort in Cancun, Mexico, the couple resides in Hannibal.
