Grace Elizabeth Valuck and Levi Strube were married on July 11, 2009, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Hannibal. Grace is the daughter of Drs. Richard and Jennifer Valuck. Levi is the son of Lynn and Penny Strube.
Katherine Valuck, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carrianne Harrison, Kansas City, Mo.; Anna Pitney, Wausau, Wis.; Marissa Chaplin, Warrensburg, Mo.; Christina Albee, Hannibal; Shelby Tatman, Hannibal and Lissie Youse, Hannibal. Other wedding attendants included Mary Louise Valuck, Caroline Valuck, Aimee Pitney, Abby Pitney and Mary Ellen Pitney, all cousins of the bride. Flower girls were Drew Billups and Grace Heibel, both of Hannibal and friends of the bride.
Best man was Josh Hirner, Hannibal, and groomsmen were Kyle Harrison, Kansas City, Mo.; Michael Fuller, St. Louis, Mo.; Peter McCall, St. Louis, Mo., and Daniel Tebeau, St. Louis, Mo. Ushers were Ryan Pitney, Andrew Pitney, Jacob Pitney, Ethan Pitney and Ben Pitney, cousins of the bride. Ring bearers were Karsten and Porter Harrison, nephews of the groom.
The ceremony officiant was Pastor Mark Albee, with scripture reading by Rachel Pitney, Wausau, Wis. Katherine Valuck was the vocal soloist, accompanied by Jill Page. Amy Sweets led the congregational hymn and April Treaster was pianist for the ceremony.
A bridal shower luncheon was hosted by Mrs. Lynn Haugh, assisted by Carrianne Harrison. A bridal shower was given by Mrs. Linda Youse, Dr. Julie Albee and Mrs. Judy Taylor and attended by ladies of Immanuel Baptist Church. Lissie Youse and Christina Albee hosted a personal shower for Grace. Louise, Mary Louise and Caroline Valuck, Oklahoma City, Okla., hosted a bride’s luncheon at Garth Mansion. The rehearsal dinner, hosted by Lynn and Penny Strube, was held at the Quality Inn. A dinner reception and dance followed the ceremony at the Quality Inn.
Grace is a 2007 graduate of Hannibal High School and is a student at Truman State University pursuing a career in speech and language pathology. Levi is a 2005 graduate of Hannibal High School and a 2009 graduate of Truman State University with a B.S. in biology. He will enter A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, Fall 2010.
Following a honeymoon in Walt Disney World, the couple resides in Kirksville, Mo.
