originally schools in the area. The Stone School Bed and Breakfast offers visitors the
chance to relax and sample a little bit of history along with fine cuisine. It was voted

a subsidiary of Reader’s Digest. The house, built as a limestone schoolhouse in 1834
and set on 16 acres of woods, stream, and meadow, is rustic and cozy. It features two
guest rooms, each with private bath, along with amenities as a card room, with an outside balcony,
screen porch, and private dining room.
Nestled away on 16 acres of secluded, private woodland, tranquility and inspiration await you at Hannibal’s
most private hide-a-way, Stone School Inn Bed & Breakfast. Tour the grounds of the beautiful nature estate. Follow
the hiking trails to the shallow, flowing creek and enjoy the sounds of the birds singing in the overhead trees. Sit on the outdoor
balcony sipping an ice tea enjoying the sunset. At Stone School Inn, you trade the world behind for a peaceful, uninterrupted stay
in heaven.
In the morning wake to the smell of a homemade breakfast. Old-fashioned sourdough pancakes or omelets with thick-sliced
bacon will compliment your stay. The house prepares all meals fresh and will accommodate special diets. Custom menus are
available for dinners or luncheons for two to eighteen persons, with prior reservations.
After a relaxing day slip away into one of the two private cabin-style rooms complete with queen size orthopedic beds. The
“Moose Room” offers a shower in room, while the “Fish Room” has a separate bathroom. Both rooms give a feeling of
home with all of the amenities including a private entryway.
Guest areas include a loft reading /card room with an outdoor balcony, a large screen room offers quiet relaxation with
viewing of busy bird feeders. Guest dining is in a large sunroom with a wood burning stove.
