Claire Ewersmann has been named assistant director of the Hannibal Free Pubic Library.
She grew up in a small town near O’Fallon, Mo. She majored in English at the University of Notre Dame, and then earned her master’s of library science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. For the past few years she worked at a non-profit organization assisting low-income families in St. Louis. She also interned at the Family Resource Center at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Ewersmann will be responsible for managing the library’s program of public services to meet the needs of children, teens and adults in Hannibal and the surrounding area.
