HLG wrestling signs Smith

The Hannibal-LaGrange College Wrestling program has signed Joshua Smith from Auburn, Ill. Smith graduated from Auburn High School in May of 2009. 
Smith’s high school accomplishments include: a career record of 108-22, 2008 Team MVP, fourth  place in the 2008 South Carolina State tournament at 152 pounds for Belton Honea Path High School, and 2009 Illinois State qualifier at 145 pounds for Auburn High School.  He will be competing at 145 next year for the Trojans.
“Josh Smith is a solid well rounded wrestler that will help raise the level of everyone in the practice room,” said HLG Head Wrestling Coach Scott Hawes. “As a freshman, Josh has the ability to make an impact on our program right away.”
Smith plans on majoring in physical education at HLG.
Smith is the son of Shana Smith and Todd Smith.
