Hannibal will play host to this year’s “Do or Die Bowl,” an all-star football game featuring athletes from Missouri, Iowa and Illinois. The game will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Hannibal High School’s Porter Stadium.
One team will consist of players from Missouri and Iowa. Hannibal players slated to participate are Ian Hatton, Derek Hicks, Jay’Kob King, Adam Lyons and Dustin Chitwood. The opposing team will be made up of players from Illinois.
Fred Bouchard, former Palmyra High School football coach, will serve as one of the head coaches. Mark St Clair, HHS head coach, will be an assistant coach.
Tickets for the game, which is sponsored by KHQA, are available online at www.connecttristates.com for $8. Tickets at the gate will cost $10 apiece.
HHS football parents will be hosting a tailgate dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Quincy band SevenD2 will be performing a free concert from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The band will also provide halftime entertainment.
