Lady Pirates set for season finale

The end of the regular season is here for the Hannibal Lady Pirates.

Hannibal is 4-15 on the season with one more win this year than in the year before and today, Feb. 9, marks the last day of the regular season for Hannibal.

The Lady Pirates still have more games to play, with district play starting on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Before that, the Lady Pirates travel to Fulton to close out its conference schedule.

The last time the two teams played was on Jan. 2. Hannibal came up a bit short in the meeting, going down by a score of 50-43.

Fulton goes into the contest with a record of 10-12. Their most recent contest was a 64-50 loss against Kirksville, a team that is 18-2.

The Lady Pirates are on a five-game losing streak and looking to claim its first win since claiming back-to-back victories against Boonville and Warren County on Jan. 19 and Jan. 26.

Tip-off between Hannibal and Fulton is set to take place at 7:30 p.m., or after the junior varsity game, today, Feb. 9.

Following the contest, Hannibal will be participating in the Class 4 District 8 tournament.
