HLGU signs three athletes

The Hannibal-LaGrange women’s soccer program has signed Stephanie Hall from Beecher, Ill., and the track and field team has signed Mikayla Harden and Gage Harden of Sedalia, Mo.

Hall will graduate from Beecher High School this May, while both Mikayla Harden and Gage Harden will graduate from Smith-Cotton High School in May.

While at Beecher High, Hall has competed in both soccer and volleyball.  During her junior year of soccer, Hall was named as an All-Conference athlete, was the All-Area leading scorer and was named the best midfielder on her squad.

Hall is the daughter of Mark and Kathy Hall and plans to major in nursing while at Hannibal-LaGrange.

While at Smith-Cotton, Mikayla Harden has competed in cross country as well as track and field.  She is also a member of the cheerleading squad.

Mikayla Harden plans to compete in the 200 and 400 meter dash and major in biblical theology while attending Hannibal-LaGrange.

Gage Harden has participated in football, cross country and track and field while at Smith-Cotton.  He earned the cross country newcomers award in 2010, the track and field leadership award in 2011, was named as a second team All-District athlete for the 4x200 relay in 2010, and as a third team All-District athlete for the 4x200 relay in 2011.

Gage Harden plans to compete in the 400 meter hurdles and major in biology while at Hannibal-LaGrange.

Mikayla and Gage Harden are the daughter and son of Derek and Kristina Harden.
