Culver-Stockton College Director of Athletics Joel Dant has announced that Patricia “Tish” Hanna has been hired as the new cross country and track and field coach at Culver-Stockton, replacing Steve Blocker, who resigned last month.
Hanna is the former head cross country and track and field coach at St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Louis, where she has coached for the last 12 years. In addition to her work at St. Joseph’s Academy, Hanna founded the St. Louis Blazers Youth Track Club, served as an assistant coach with the St. Louis Storm Youth Track and Field Club and was head coach of the Racewalkers Club of St. Louis.
In 2008, Hanna was head coach of USA Track and Field (USATF) for the USA-Canada Junior Meet in British Columbia, Canada, and in 2007 served as an assistant coach for the USA in hurdles and jumps at the International Association of Athletics Federations’ (IAAF) World Youth Championships in the Czech Republic.
Hanna, who is also affiliated with the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and her master’s degree from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
