The Hannibal Pirates wrestling squad became 23-21 after a weekend tournament at Francis Howell Central.
Top wrestlers emerging for the Pirates Friday were Jacob Borgmeyer and Logan Clark. Borgmeyer went 5-0 in the tournament and collected 27 points. Clark finished with a 4-1 record with 24 points for and six against. Brady Ruby and Kyle Muehring also finished 4-1. Ruby had 18 points for and three against while Muehring came away with 21 points for and six against.
Brant Dooley and Chandler Fohey finished with even records at 2-2. Dooley had nine points for and 10 against, Fohey had 10 points for and six against.
Other records from the tournament include Gunnar Gollaher and Clay Miles who went 0-4 and Eli Ratliff and Stephen Stine went 1-3.
Districts will be held in Hannibal and begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10. The top four individuals from each weight class qualify for the state tournament.
