Senior Adam Albright scored a hat trick to lead the Hannibal boys soccer team to a 6-0 win at Mexico in a North Central Missouri Conference match Thursday night.

John Maune made six saves between the pipes as Hannibal secured its sixth shutout this year.

Hannibal improves to 12-3 overall and 7-1 in the NCMC.

Albright put Hannibal on the board with a goal assisted by Nathan DeStefane in the 11th minute.

The Pirates held a slim 1-0 advantage at the intermission but poured it on in the second half. DeStefane found the back of the net off a Kolin Westhoff assist to make it 2-0 in the 44th minute.

Albright kept the momentum by netting goals in the 66th and 69th minutes to further pad the lead. DeStefane assisted both goals and finished with three helpers on the night.

DeStefane scored off an Albright feed for Hannibal's fifth goal, and Caleb Ketsenburg scored to establish the final margin.

Hannibal outshot the hosts 19-11, including 13-6 on goal, and didn't allow the Bulldogs (5-13, 2-7) a single corner kick.

The Pirates are scheduled to play at Chillicothe on Monday night.
