The Hannibal girls tennis team defeated Columbia Battle 8-1 on Wednesday to secure its second victory of the season.

The Hannibal girls tennis team defeated Columbia Battle 8-1 on Wednesday to secure its second victory of the season.

The Lady Pirates won all six matchups in singles play. 

Sascha Pauly won 8-2 in the top-ranked singles match.

Blair Burton earned an 8-6 win at No. 2, while Elizabeth Stilley was an 8-1 victor at No. 3. 

Elizabeth Brummell (8-0, No. 4), Jaspreet Kandola (8-1, No. 5) and Kaylee Dissel (8-2, No. 6) rounded out the singles wins. 

Pauly and Burton teamed up for an 8-1 win in No. 1 doubles.

Stilley and Brummell won 8-1 at No. 2, while Kandola and Dissel fell 8-5 on the No. 3 court.

Hannibal (2-4) is scheduled to play at Moberly on Thursday.
