The Palmyra girls tennis team defeated Moberly 6-1 on Tuesday in a dual shortened due to lightning.

The Palmyra girls tennis team defeated Moberly 6-1 on Tuesday in a dual shortened due to lightning. 

Palmyra (1-1) won all four completed singles matches and took two of three in doubles.

Amy Bryan led the Lady Panthers with an 8-1 win at No. 2 singles. Chloe Dent won 8-6 at No. 4. McKenna Abbott claimed an 8-4 victory at No. 5, while Jansen Juette won 8-5 in the No. 6 matchup.

Bryan and Kendra Maples were 8-5 victors at No. 1 doubles, with Abbott and Juette winning 8-1 at No. 3. 

Dent and Reagan Lehenbauer fell 8-3 in the No. 2 doubles match. 

Palmyra is scheduled to host Hannibal on Thursday.
