Laithan Sublette led the Palmyra boys golf team to a dual win over Father Tolton by nine strokes at Tanglewood Golf Course on Thursday.

Laithan Sublette led the Palmyra boys golf team to a dual win over Father Tolton by nine strokes at Tanglewood Golf Course on Thursday.

The Panther senior earned medalist honors by carding a nine-hole score of 40.

Palmyra recorded a team total of 184 to beat Tolton's 193.

Following Sublette individually for Palmyra was Brady Shively with 47, Ragar McKinney at 48 and Brock Bollin at 49.

“It was a beautiful day on the course with some wind. The guys overall played pretty well,” said Kevin Miles, who was serving in place of head coach Marty Smyser. “I am sure they would like to have played better, but that is expected.”

Ragar Plunkett also competed for the varsity and shot a 51.

The Palmyra junior varsity finished the round at 211 and was led by Mason Burch, who carded a 46.
