Jarrad Verdier scored for the Panthers (0-3) on a passed ball with two outs in the second to knot the score 1-all.

The Raiders took control from there on out.

North Shelby plated three runs in the bottom of the third and tacked on another in the fifth and two more in the sixth to secure the victory.

Kirby Latimer and Caleb Miller each wrapped out three hits for the host Raiders.

Chas Shockley struck out 14 batters for North Shelby en route to pitching a complete game.

Verdier finished with two of Monroe City's six hits, while Josh Crook, Dawson Shively, Konnor Bridgewater and Jon Saxbury recorded one a piece.

Gatlin Bichsel started on the mound for the Panthers and allowed three runs (one earned) over four innings to get charged with the loss.

Bridgewater pitched two innings in relief.
