The Hannibal boys tennis team rolled Monday to a North Central Missouri Conference shutout over Mexico.

The Hannibal boys tennis team rolled Monday to a North Central Missouri Conference shutout over Mexico in a match played indoors at Missouri Military Academy.

Hannibal (2-0, 2-0 NCMC) swept all six singles matches before doing the same in doubles for a 12-0 blowout. 

Austin Brown, the Pirates top singles player, won his match 10-2.

No. 2 Ethan Bross and No. 6 Trent Kempker each won by scores of 10-6 in singles.

No. 3 Collin Poage, No. 4 Luke Boyd and No. 5 Donovan Mefford won their respective singles matches 10-5. 

Brown and Poage teamed up to win the top doubles match 10-5.

Bross and Boyd won 10-3 at No. 2 doubles, and Mefford joined Kempker to claim the No. 3 matchup 10-6.

Nick Tompkins and Nathan DeStefane won 10-3 at No. 4, the same score Tristen Terrill and Kyle Murphy won the No. 5 contest. 

David Hjelm and Mason Jones rounded out the day with a 10-4 victory in No. 6 doubles.

Hannibal is scheduled to play at Boonville on Thursday.
