The Hannibal girls swim team dropped times Saturday at Hickman in Columbia during its final tuneup for the Independent League Championships.

The meet was not officially scored so no places or points were awarded.

Hannibal sophomore Peyton Utterback finished the 50 freestyle in 25.75 seconds to set a new consideration time for the Class 1 state meet.

Utterback also teamed with senior Olivia Clark, junior Makenzie Prenger and freshman McKenna Grimmer to make new state consideration times in the 200 medley relay (2:08.03) and 400 freestyle relay (4:24.15).

Three Lady Pirates set season bests in the 200 freestyle, led by Grace McGuire in 2:43.97. Following McGuire were Abbi Stoll (2:45.96) and Amber Majors (3:12.09). Stoll shaved 10.65 seconds off her previous personal record. 

Grimmer PRed in the 200 individual medley in 2:47.90 to lead Hannibal in the event, while Raegen Robertson recorded the Lady Pirates best time in the 100 butterfly, 1:41.06.

Clark paced Hannibal in the 100 freestyle in 1:10.03, followed by three teammates who all set personal season records: Kendall Potter (1:13.91), Ashten Ellis (1:22.22) and Yudsara Corredor (1:27.25).

Prenger led the squad in the 500 freestyle in 6:25.14. Andrea Altiser was the next-fastest Lady Pirate in the distance event, dropping 19.22 seconds off her previous best to finish in 7:02.28.

Samantha Del Toro dropped more than four seconds in the 100 backstroke to pace Hannibal in 1:32.84, while Hailey Whittaker posted the top Lady Pirates time of 1:36.12 in the 100 breaststroke.

Hannibal is scheduled to compete at the ILC meet in Kansas City on Tuesday and Wednesday.
