Talton scored 31 points and pulled in seven rebounds Saturday during a win over Wellsville in the Clopton Tournament championship. The junior playmaker was named the tournament's most valuable player. He then dropped 39 points to help 12-1 Monroe City beat Louisiana on the road for the first time in nine years. 

Raegan Barnett • Sophomore • Palmyra basketball

Barnett recorded a game-high 12 points and delivered the game-winning basket in the final minute of overtime to beat Knox County on Tuesday. The sophomore scored eight of her points after halftime to help coach Chris Parson's 8-5 Lady Panthers avenge a triple overtime loss to the Lady Eagles last week at the Highland Tournament.
