Maddie Janes made 13 digs Monday night to lead the Hannibal volleyball team to a home sweep over North Central Missouri Conference rival Mexico.

Hannibal (16-9, 8-0 NCMC) won the first set 25-12 before finishing off the visitors 25-15 in Game 2.

The Lady Pirates have won three straight matches. The first two of the streak came Saturday at the Quincy Tournament.

Kaylee Falconer finished with 10 digs and eight set assists. Kyler Rademan pitched in with nine digs, eight set assists and four aces, while Abby Baumann recorded five kills and Claire Thomas came up with five digs.

"(Monday) was a very slow night compared to the tournament from the weekend," Hannibal coach Kelsey Whitley said. "The girls took care of business but I would not say that they played extraordinarily well. I was pleased that we finished them quickly, however we could have done so a little easier by elimination of our unforced errors."

Hannibal JV dominates Mexico

Hannah Miller recorded seven kills Monday to lead the Hannibal junior varsity team to a 25-5, 25-9 sweep over Mexico.

Dani Brown dished out eight set assists for Hannibal (12-8), while Emma Deien finished with four kills, five aces and six digs. Peyton Utterback contributed four kills, four aces and two blocks. Payton Frick had five set assists and five digs.
