The prolific Hannibal boys soccer team has netted more goals this season than any other in program history.
The Pirates offense was on full display Thursday night.
Hannibal scored early and often at Veterans Sports Complex en route to an 11-1 win over Mexico to remain undefeated in the North Central Missouri Conference.
Kabren Robinson delivered the first goal of the night on a one-timer off an assist from teammate Lucas Brown. In the 15th minute, Micah Blaine took a feed from Cory Allensworth and got in on the fun with a score to pad the lead.
Blaine's tally, which was deflected into the net by a Mexico player, provided Hannibal's 104th goal of the fall, breaking a school record that stood since 2003.
Brice Terrill, Brown and Nathan DeStefane each scored in the first half, and Hannibal was helped by a Mexico own goal to take a 6-0 lead into halftime.
“The boys honestly played really well,” Hannibal coach Eric Hill said. “We moved the ball just like we asked them to do and switched the ball from side to side really well tonight. It was really good to see the guys doing that and putting on another scoring display tonight.”
Allensworth, who dished out three assists on the night, put Hannibal up 7-0 four minutes into the second half, while Adam Albright found the back of the net in the 47th and 67th minutes to extend the barrage.
Brown netted a pair of goals after the break to finish with a hat trick.
