The Hannibal 7th grade football team delivered a 46-0 blow to Quincy on Tuesday at Porter Stadium.

Markahl Humphrey and Dontaevion Caldwell combined to score five touchdowns for Hannibal (4-0-1) to lead the charge.

The Hannibal defense forced a 3-and-out on Quincy's opening drive, and Caldwell scored on a 40-yard pitch on the Pirates' first play from scrimmage. Brock Wiley punched in the 2-point conversion to give Hannibal an early 8-0 lead.

Wiley then ended the Blue Devils' next drive with a third-down interception before Caldwell dashed for a 25-yard score and Wiley ran for another 2-point conversion to make it 16-0.

Humphrey then took over the game. He made a diving interception before scoring Hannibal's next touchdown from 30 yards out. He scored again before half to make it 30-0 at the break.

Hannibal coach Kyle Artaud gave credit to his offensive line for its ability to open holes for his playmakers.

"They played lights out all game," the coach said.

Humphrey returned the second half kickoff for a touchdown.

Sheldon Bergheger ran 45 yards for the final touchdown on his first play in the game. Parker Terrill, who finished with 40 yards rushing, lowered his shoulder and barreled his way for the 2-point conversion.
