HMS 8th grade sweeps Bowling Green

The Hannibal Middle School 8th grade volleyball team swept host Bowling Green in straight sets, 25-23, 25-13 on Thursday.

Hannibal (2-0) corrected mistakes it made during the season opener on Monday, according to coach Carli Penrod.

"One of our focuses was utilizing free ball passes," Penrod said. "Linnea Brown really stepped up in the second set to make great plays off free balls. Her passes led to kills that helped finish the match."
