Senior Emilee Carleton delivered the match-clinching point with a tight 11-9 win at No. 5 singles. Andrea Martin also played a close battle on the No. 3 singles court, where she won 11-10 via a tiebreaker.

Ashlyn Nichols was the victor for Hannibal (2-9, 1-5 NCMC) in No. 1 singles 10-4. Blair Burton won 10-3 at No. 3, while Liz Stilley rolled to a 10-2 win at No. 4 and Kylee Johnson dominated 10-1 at No. 6.

“Great team win,” Hannibal coach Bob Catalpa said. “We won several close matches and had a strong night in singles.”

In doubles, Nichols and Burton secured a 10-8 win in the battle of No. 1s, the same score Kelsey Perrigo and Jaspreet Kaur were victorious at No. 4. Carleton and Johnson won 10-7 at No. 3, while Hannibal dropped the No. 2 and 5 matches, respectively. The visiting Lady Pirates forfeited No. 6 doubles due to a shortage of players.
