The Palmyra softball team fell to 6-3 on the season with a 7-1 setback at Bowling Green on Thursday evening.

The host Bobcats pushed across a pair of runs in the first inning, three more in the fourth and two more in the sixth for the win.

Cameron O’Brien scored the lone Panthers run when she stole home in the fifth inning.

The Palmyra offense was limited to just two hits in the loss — a first-inning single from Brooke Wilson and a double from Alyssa Loman.

The Lady Panthers defense committed three errors in the loss, which snapped their four-game winning streak.

Palmyra returns to the diamond Saturday in the Cairo Tournament.
