Sam Hirner won an individual medal with a top 10 finish at the Kirksville Invite on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Panthers No. 1 golfer carded a season-best 45 on the front nine before finishing her 18-hole round with a 101. She finished tied for eighth in the field of 47 individuals.

Hirner helped pace the Lady Panthers to a fifth-place finish (455) in the field of 10 teams at Kirksville Country Club.

Kirksville won team honors with a 398. Mexico (404), Macon (406) and Brookfield (432) rounded out the top four teams.

Olivia Sublette (114), Sara Ridout (119) and Grace Krigbaum (121) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Panthers. Reigan Parsons also played and carded a 123.

“With all of the wind today, it made for difficult playing conditions, but I am pleased with a fifth-place finish,” Palmyra coach Chris Parsons said.
