The Palmyra girls golf team finished second in a triangular match in Macon with the best 9-hole score in the program's two-year history.
The Palmyra girls golf team finished second in a triangular match at the Macon Country Club on Tuesday.
The Lady Panthers fired a season-best score of 217, led by Olivia Sublette’s 48.
Macon won the match with a 187. Schuyler County rounded out the field with a 233.
The 217 for Palmyra also marked the best 9-hole score in program history.
“It was our best score in our two years as a program,” an ecstatic Panthers coach Chris Parsons said. “The girls just continue to improve, which is a lot of fun to see.”
Sublette’s mark was also a career best. Sam Hirner finished one stroke behind Sublette. Reigan Parsons (54) and Grace Krigbaum (56) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Panthers. Sara Ridout also played for Palmyra and carded a 58.
