New London, MO —

A New London veteran participated in an Honor Flight to the nation’s capital Oct. 27, sponsored by Central Missouri Honor Flight, a mid-Missouri group dedicated to raising funds and friends to honor veterans by transporting them to Washington, D.C., to see the recently unveiled World War II Memorial and other sights.
Marvin Grandy served in the Air Force during World War II.
Central Missouri Honor Flight is part of the national Honor Flight Network. The Honor Flights give top priority to senior veterans, World War II survivors and other veterans who may be terminally ill.
Contributions of all amounts are welcome; however, the cost to sponsor a veteran for the Honor Flight is $300. All contributions are tax-deductible. Contributions can be sent to Central Missouri Honor Flight, 5550 Highway 63 South, Columbia, Mo., 65201. Checks should be made to Central Missouri Honor Flight.
