18U Black Ice Softball Team placed second at the ASA State Softball Tournament June 23 and 24. They also finished tied for fifth at the NSC Recruiting Tournament in Overland Park, Kan., and third June 3 through 5 in the East vs. West Tournament in Jefferson City, Mo.
The High Voltage Fastpitch Softball team competed in the East vs. West Tournament June 4 and 5 in Jefferson City. High Voltage advanced to the championship game of the 16U division before losing to the St. Louis Angels 8-7 in a eight-inning tiebreaker.
In preparation for the 2011 volleyball season, a group of Hannibal Lady Pirates participated in the Licking Summer Camp Tournament from June 15 to 16 in Arnold, Mo.
A Gospel Concert hosted by the Park Chapel Baptist Church Trustee Board will at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at the American Legion Hall in Palmyra, Mo. The proceeds from the concert will be used for the renovation and remodeling of Park Chapel’s parsonage.
The Frankford Worship Center, 500 Main St., Frankford, will have a spring revival at 7 p.m. daily, May 16 through May 20.
The Rev. Daniel (Boone) Allen of Murfreesboro, Tenn., pastor of the Assembly of Christ Church in Tennessee, will be the guest speaker. He is a native of the Frankford area and attended Hannibal Nazarene Church.
George Hinch serves as pastor of the Frankford Worship Center.
The public is invited.
Touchpoint Autism Services of Columbia, Mo, will host a free autism workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the First Baptist Church of Monroe City, 221 N. Main St. This workshop will feature demonstrations and informational presentations to help attendees understand autism and how it affects people. This workshop is open to the public.
