For nearly three decades, the Hannibal Police Department has offered a Children’s Halloween Party free to the children. If not for the generous donations from both the public and businesses, as well as the labor put forth by the volunteers, it would not be possible to provide this event for the hundreds of children who attend every year.
Even with the economic difficulties our country currently faces that can even be felt locally, we received more financial support than we had in previous years. Not only did this allow us to offer more prizes for the 746 children who attended this year’s event, we were able to save the unspent funds for next year’s Halloween party.
On behalf of the Hannibal Police Department, I wish to thank the public, businesses and service organizations who supported us this year, and over the last 29 years. It is our privilege to provide this event to the local area children, and with your continued support, we will offer it for years to come.
