If I hadn't entered the theater (Bluff City, 212 Broadway, Hannibal) with the sounds of Tom Sawyer Days carnival a block away, I might well have thought I was in a Broadway (New York, NY) theater; that's the caliber talent Bluff City Theater consistently brings to our very own "America's Hometown."

Showing now through July 8 is Emily,The Musical. It's the story of a young girl forced to move into a new home following her father's untimely death, bringing up all the emotions that come with the any talk of "home town."

Yes, it showed on the same days as our very own "Tom Sawyer Days," but in America's Hometown it's an enrichment not a calendar hindrance to the themed days. The music, the young cast (many from our how town, others from NY, Chicago, St. Louis...) shows us how hometown touches all.
