Kyelar “Kye” Kent, 30, of Hannibal, died at 10:30 p.m., on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at his home in Hannibal.
His body has been cremated according to his wishes. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal.
Kye was born on September 20, 1981, in Hannibal, the son of Keith A. Kent and Lisa M. Griffith Kent.
He is survived by his parents, Keith and Lisa Kent of Hannibal; his brother, Cale Kent of Hannibal; his sister, Shayla Kent of Hannibal; his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Verna Kent of Clarksville, MO; and his maternal grandmother, Betty Lemmon of Hannibal.
He attended Basehor Linwood High School in Basehor, KS. Kye liked to play the guitar and drums and listen to music. He enjoyed writing stories and poetry, and raking up the yard and then gather around a roaring bonfire. He loved to spend time with his family.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Epilepsy Foundation, in care of Grand View Funeral Home.
