Lillian Berry Bowen, 97, of Hannibal, died at 8:20 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008, at the Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal. Pastor Aaron Gravett will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, May 14, at Grand View Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bowen was born on March 24, 1911, in Ilasco to Silas Berry and Tina Holyman Berry.
She was survived by several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Melvin Berry, Ervin Berry and one brother in infancy; and her sisters, Leona Long and Mary B. Berry.
Mrs. Bowen worked for the International Shoe Company in Hannibal from the time she was 15 until the factory closed more than 50 years later. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hannibal. She is a lifelong resident of the area. She loved flowers and working in her yard. She enjoyed spending time with children and having people around her.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church.
