Mrs. Goldie Fern Blackwell, 90, of Bowling Green, formerly of Louisiana, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009, at the Moore-Pike Nursing Home in Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today, June 30, at the Grassy Creek Baptist Church near Louisiana. The Rev. Brook Kurth will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery near Louisiana.
Visitation was from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana.
Fern is survived by her husband, John M. Blackwell of Louisiana; one daughter, Dolores Gay Umfleet of Hannibal; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be given to the Fairview Cemetery Association, in care of Collier Funeral Homes Inc., 117 Barnard Drive, Louisiana, M0 63353.
