Dorothy L. Harrison

Dorothy L. Harrison, 88, of Hannibal, died at 7:40 a.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Smith Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Harrison was born Dec. 15, 1919, in Ralls County to Walter G. and Meadie Bowles Brown. She married Benny Robertson.
On Dec. 17, 1977, in Hannibal she married Glenn R. Harrison. He preceded her in death April 17, 1989.
Survivors include one sister, Martha Northcutt of New London; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lucille Pollard; and two brothers, Walter Brown Jr. and Tom Brown.
Mrs. Harrison had been secretary for the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce. She was a lifelong member of Southside Christian Church, now Clover Road Christian Church.
She was a 50-year member of Lighthouse Chapter, No. 194, O.E.S. She was past district deputy, grand matron and past grand officer of the State of Missouri. She was a volunteer for the Foster Grandparents organization. Dorothy loved to read, play cards and spend time with her family. She was a graduate of Hannibal High School, class of 1937.
