Charles E. Krigbaum, 86, of Hannibal, died at 6:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial with Full Military Rites by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55 will be at Grand View Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Mr. Krigbaum was born Nov. 22, 1922, in New London, to Roy Hubert and Flossie M. Bonham Krigbaum.
He was married to Betty Truitt on April 5, 1946, in Hannibal. She survives.
Other survivors include three children, Randall Krigbaum of Hannibal, Kim Crane (Mike) of Hannibal,  Jay Krigbaum of Vancouver, Wash.; three grandchildren, Alex Crane, Cael Krigbaum, Carson Krigbaum; four step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Aileen Flege and one daughter-in-law, Louise Krigbaum.
Mr. Krigbaum was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He served during World War II from 1942 to 1946 and was a sergeant with the 14th Fighter Control Squad stationed in Hilo, Hawaii. Mr. Krigbaum started his business in home construction and then for many years was a project manager for Bunce Corp., in St. Louis, specializing in construction of many bank buildings throughout the Midwest until his retirement. He loved being with his family and friends, and was an avid golfer.
Memorial contributions may be made to Missouri Alzheimer’s Association in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Randall Krigbaum, Jay Krigbaum, Mike Crane, Jack Riggs, Weldon Calvert and Bob Gough.
