Mary Amelia McKenzie, 78, of Hannibal, died at 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at Luther Manor Nursing Center in Hannibal. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal. Father Mike Quinn  will officiate. Burial will be at Holy Family Cemetery in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
A Rosary service will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. McKenzie was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Ralls County, to Gilbert and Alta Clara McClintock Moss.
She was married to Ronald R. McKenzie on Nov. 9, 1952, in Hannibal. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Ronald R. McKenzie Jr. (Linda) of Chesterfield, Mo., and Michael E. McKenzie (Glenda) of Hannibal; two daughters, Mary Amelia Wells (Warren) of Kirksville, Mo., and Christine McKenzie DeLaPorte of Hannibal; one brother, G. L. Moss of Rural Monroe City; eight grandchildren, Mary Ann Witthaus (Mark), Rob McKenzie, Lauren Spaniol, Brian Wells, Clare DeLaPorte, Meryle Galloway, Michael McKenzie and Ian McKenzie; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. McKenzie was a homemaker. During her school years at Monroe City High School she was a cheerleader. Amelia loved her family and especially enjoyed caring for and spending time with them. She also loved to cook and play cards. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in care of the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Rob McKenzie, Mike McKenzie, Brian Wells, Ian McKenzie, Mark Witthaus, Robert Galloway and John Spaniol.
