Palmyra, MO —

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Montano, 54, of Palmyra, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Thursday, at her home. Dorothy was born Feb. 26, 1955, in Mexico, Mo. She was the daughter of Opal and Jewel Roberts Ray. Dorothy was married to Antonio Montano Sept. 26, 1980, at Marion, Ind. He survives of the home.
Survivors include daughter, Patricia Bohon of Taylor, Mo.; sisters, Mary Garner and husband, Paul Of Mansfield, Texas; Barb Patterson and husband, Larry of Palmyra; brother, Joe Fox and wife, Pat of Copperas Cove, Texas;  brother-in-law, Floyd Wieland and wife, Linda of Rolla, Mo. Also, nieces, nephews and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Patsy Wieland and a nephew, Gregg Fox.
Mrs. Montano worked for Heartland Home Health Care in Ewing, Mo., and as the office cleaning lady for Dr. Thomas Lemons.
She was a graduate of Marion Co. R-II in Philadelphia, Mo.
She loved animals, especially birds, and music. She was a member of the Former Church of Christ in Palmyra.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Pastor Kent Lewis will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Hannibal Hospice.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Reininger, John Wieland, Derek Carter, Charles Wieland and Kevin Fox.
