Dorothy Ann Kemp, 90, of Hannibal, died at 3:56 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2018, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Dorothy Ann Kemp, 90, of Hannibal, died at 3:56 p.m. on Nov. 6, 2018, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at the Grand View Funeral Home in Hannibal.

Funeral services will be Nov. 14, 2018, at 1 p.m. with Pastors Minnie Smith, Wesley Foster and Tony Kemp officiating.

Dorothy was born on May 1, 1928, in Sharpsburg, the daughter of John Hamilton Smith and Sarah Bernice McGruder Smith.

She married Harvey Lee Kemp on Jan. 9, 1950, in Kansas City, and he survives.

Her parents; and a son, Harvey L. Kemp, preceded her in death.

She is survived by one son, Phillip “Tony” (Debra) Kemp; a brother, Phillip (Minnie) Smith; two sisters, Kathleen Kelly and Constance (Bill) Morrison; one grandchild, Phillip (Sarah) Kemp II; four great-grandchildren, Jaylyn Kemp, Phillip Kemp III, Eliza Kemp and Gideon Kemp; and four nephews, Robert Boone, Marcus Smith, John A. Smith and Martin Morrison.

Dorothy was a board member of the Douglas School Scholarship Fund and the Northeast District Missionary Society. She also wrote her autobiography entitled “Lingering Impressions.”
