Betty Malone Jones, 85, of Hannibal, passed away at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Betty Malone Jones, 85, of Hannibal, passed away at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Rich Stilley will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.

Friends and family are invited to Betty's Life Celebration at a visitation that will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services Friday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Betty was born Aug. 29, 1933, in Monkey Run, to John and Juanita Hedges Malone.

She was married to Richard "Dick" E. Jones Sr. on Oct. 21, 1952 at the Ilasco Methodist Church. He preceded her in death June 28, 1999.

Survivors include four children, Rick Jones of Columbia, Jeff Jones of Columbia, Roger Jones (Nella) of Jacksonville, Ark. and Kimmy Jones of Columbia; one sister, Nene Lee of Hannibal; and nine grandchildren, Jessica Jones, Christopher Jones, Butch Jones, Allen McCoy, Adam Jones, Garrett McCoy, Wendy Cole, Erika Jones and Patrick Jones. Betty is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Pat Malone and John Malone.

Betty was a homemaker. She loved her Monkey Run heritage and was proud of her community. Always gardening, Betty canned anything and everything for her family. A gifted vocalist, Betty loved musicals and Big Band music.

Talented in the kitchen, Betty made the best homemade pies, with pecan and key lime pie being family favorites. Watching westerns, quilting and crocheting were also activities Betty took pleasure in. Betty was also an avid reader and loved putting together puzzles. Most of all, Betty simply cherished the moments she shared with her family and friends.

Betty was a member of Saverton Ilasco Methodist Church.

Pallbearers will be Betty's grandsons.
