Wayne Leonard Nesbitt, 77, of Hannibal, passed away at 2:02 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Wayne Leonard Nesbitt, 77, of Hannibal, passed away at 2:02 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Friends and family are invited to Wayne’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.

Private graveside services and burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal.

Wayne was born Sept. 9, 1941, in Hannibal, to Bert Leonard and Alma M. Lease Nesbitt.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Leonard Nesbitt (Tina) of Seymour, Cody Wayne Nesbitt of New London, Troy Lynn Nesbitt of Macon; and five grandchildren, Nicholas, Charie, Lauren, Devon and Jarod. Also surviving are three additional grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet Sue Nesbitt Waelder.

Professionally, Wayne was a Journeyman Machinist for Litton Industries in Phoenix, Ariz.

In his free time, Wayne enjoyed being outdoors hunting arrowheads. Motorcycles were also a hobby Wayne enjoyed throughout his life, racing bikes in his younger years and riding often. Camping with family in the Colorado Mountains or in Arizona were also enjoyable times for Wayne. Meticulous in his details, Wayne enjoyed reading about any projects he was working on, always striving for perfection in his endeavors.

Wayne was a Christian by faith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nick Nesbitt, Charie Nesbitt, Devon Warthen, David Waelder, Curt Miller and Troy Nesbitt.
