Ronnie was born Aug. 4, 1938, in Hannibal, to Charley W. Wells and Blanche Perry Wells Carpenter.

Ronnie was married to Alice Rogers on Dec. 7, 1962 in Hannibal. She survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Belinda Robinson of New London; one brother, Charles Wells (Dorlene) of Hannibal; one grandson, Brandon Lennox (Stacy) of New London; three great-grandchildren, Kiersten Pratt, Braxton Lennox and Jayce Rickey; and one great-great-grandchild, Braxlynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ronnie served his country proudly in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Professionally, Ronnie worked for the Missouri Highway Department for over 48 years, retiring as a supervisor. Ronnie loved his employees and co-workers and considered them his family.

Away from work, Ronnie spent many hours at tri-state area race tracks with his grandson, Brandon. For many years, Ronnie was Brandon’s crew chief for the pit crew at races throughout the area. Trips to visit family were always special for Ronnie, especially visits to Kentucky. Life’s simple pleasures were some of Ronnie’s favorites: a cup of coffee, country music or catching his beloved soap operas.

Ronnie was a Methodist by faith.
