Florene Lucille Brocaille, 89, of Hannibal, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Florene Lucille Brocaille, 89, of Hannibal, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, at the Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hannibal. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Rev. Eric Carlson will officiate.

Friends and family are invited to Florene’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.

Florene was born on April 8, 1929, in West Ely to Gottlieb Carl Wagner and Luvina Pauline Rothfuss Wagner.

She was married on April 23, 1948, in Hannibal at the St. John’s Lutheran Church parsonage to Lloyd V. Brocaille. He preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2012.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan Brocaille (Linda) of Hannibal; one sister, DeLois Wagner of Hannibal; one daughter-in-law, Cherie Brocaille of Hannibal; one sister-in-law, Donna Wagner; and  seven grandchildren, Brandon Brocaille, Justin Brocaille (Brenna), Tyler Brocaille, Steven Brocaille, Dylan Brocaille, E.J. Brocaille (Cat) and Bethany Brocaille. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous cousins.

Florene was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph Brocaille; and one brother, Delbert Wagner.

Florene was a homemaker most of her life. She loved raising her family and enjoyed cleaning and keeping a neat home. A talented baker, Florene made the best angel food cake. Quilting was another hobby that Florene always took pleasure in.

Florene’s faith was her strength. She was a longtime member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hannibal.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Brocaille, Justin Brocaille, Tyler Brocaille, Steven Brocaille and Dylan Brocaille.

Honorary pallbearer will be E.J. Brocaille.
