Suzanne Kay Mitchell, 64, of Hannibal, passed away at 9:46 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra.

Friends and family are invited to Suzanne’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.

Suzanne was born July 4, 1954, in Hannibal, to William Vance and Mary Johnston.

She was married to Brad Mitchell on June 16, 1972 in Palmyra. He survives.

Other survivors include her mother, Mary Totsch of Palmyra; four children, Angela Utterback (Shane) of Hull, Ill., Michael Mitchell (Mary) of Hull, Ill., Wendi Beilsmith (James) of New London and Kari Adams (Robert) of Hull, Ill.; one brother, Donald Vance (Cathy) of Palmyra; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Utterback, Kayley Utterback, Kameryn Utterback, Khloe Utterback, Isabella Mitchell, Noah Adams, and Kendall Wisdom; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kyzer and Brysen.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her father.

Suzanne was employed with Wal-Mart in Hannibal for 28 years, most recently with the personnel department.

A shopper at heart, Suzanne was always in pursuit of her next pair of shoes or purse. Proud to be a “4th of July Baby,” Suzanne loved fireworks. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures most; her morning coffee, Wednesday evening family nights or McDonald’s Sweet Tea to name a few. Hallmark Channel movies, her husband Brad’s mac and cheese and the music of George Strait were some of Suzanne’s favorites. Suzanne always treasured the time she shared with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shane Utterback, James Beilsmith, Robert Adams, Michael Mitchell, Shay Elledge and Kristopher Tharp.

Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Adams, Caleb Utterback, Kyzer Utterback and Brysen Jacobson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
