Donnie “Don” Chesser, 65, of Troy, passed away Feb. 15, at his home. He was born in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

Donnie “Don” Chesser, 65, of Troy, passed away Feb. 15, at his home. He was born in Walnut Ridge, Ark.

Don was employed by Intl. Van in Florissant as VP of Ops and at GSA as Bldg. Superintendent of the Hannibal Federal Building. He also was a fishing guide at Mark Twain Lake.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Rosie and Sular Chesser; and nephew, Steven.

Don is survived by wife, Marcia (Niehaus) Chesser; and sons, Don (Monica) of New Hartford and John (Heather) of St. Louis. He is also survived by two brothers, James (Kathryn) of Wilmington, Del. and Bill (Connie) of Monroe, La. He is survived by six grandchildren: Matthew, Noah, Lilly, Micah, Nathan and Maxwell.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tues. Feb. 20 and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Wed. Feb. 21. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wed. Feb. 21. Both will be held at McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home in Troy. Internment to follow at Troy City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Variety the Children's Charity of St. Louis, c/o the funeral home.
